Eric Stiba

Investment Advisor Representative

Eric is an Investment Advisor Representative of Lion Street Financial. He is native to Waco and graduated from Texas Tech in 2008 with a BBA in Finance and a minor in Certified Financial Planning™.

Since joining Stiba Wealth Management Group, Eric's main focus has been Holistic Financial Planning. His knowledge of products and understanding of client needs help him to fill gaps in any portfolio. Eric has a passion for Financial Planning and is working to grow not only his book of business but also increasing his knowledge of possible strategies for clients' financial confidence.

Eric is Series 7 (General Securities Representative), 65 (Uniform Registered Investment Adviser Law) and 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law) registered as well as holding a Group 1 Insurance license. In his free time, Eric enjoys bass fishing, hunting, handball, coaching Little League, and select baseball.


Ernie Stiba

Registered Financial Consultant and an Investment Advisor Representative

Helping clients achieve financial confidence has been Ernie's mission and goal at Stiba Wealth Management Group. He prides himself on providing personalized one on one service and believes in the "client-first" philosophy.

Ernie is a Registered Financial Consultant and an Investment Advisor Representative of Lion Street Financial. He has lived in Waco, Texas for the past 30 years. Ernie was born in Taylor, Texas and graduated from Sam Houston University in Huntsville, Texas with a BBA.

He is recognized and admired in his professional community serving his alliances as 2010-11 President of NAIFA Waco, past President and current board member of Waco Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, past President and Grand Council of Texas Leaders Round, and a Lifetime Member of Million Dollar Round Table. Recognized and honored in the Hall of Fame by many Insurance Companies and among one of their elite and top producers.  Qualifying membership in the MDRT is based on minimum commission and gross business generated within a year. Each MDRT status designation is granted for one year only. All members must apply every year to continue their affiliation with the Million Dollar Round Table. All other third-party rankings and recognitions are no guarantee of future investment success and do not ensure that a client or prospective client will experience a higher level of performance or results.

He has served his community in many capacities, as a committee member for the Providence Health Center Finance Committee, St. Jerome's Catholic Finance/Fund raising committee, and working with MANA House (part of Mission Waco).

In his spare time, Ernie enjoys fishing, gardening, and sporting events. Ernie has two children, Eric and Elissa. His grandson, Jace, has proven to be a true joy.


Sally Engelbrecht

Executive Administrative Assistant

Sally Engelbrecht joined our company in 2009 as an Executive Administrative Assistant. She works with new business as well as resolving issues related to ongoing business.

Prior to joining our company, Sally worked with a financial institution for 25 years. She supervised five employees in a regional recordkeeping department and later maintained a small book of qualified retirement plan business as well as supporting two Employee Benefit trust officers.

Sally is active in her church as Stewardship Committee Chairperson, a Stephen Minister, and leading the support of the troops in Afghanistan. Sally enjoys traveling and spending time with her son, daughter-in-law and grandson.


Heidi Hinkle

Registered Executive Assistant

Heidi Taliaferro-Hinkle is the newest addition to Stiba Wealth Management, joining the company in January of 2014.  Although not a native Texan, Heidi earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Tyler in 1999.  After moving out of state, Heidi and her husband were pleased to return to Texas in 2006.   

Heidi has been helping clients build healthy financial futures for over 10 years.  Prior to joining Stiba Wealth Management, she worked at an investment office for several years and served as the Private Banker for a large financial institution.  Heidi enjoys learning about clients, their families, and their goals in life.  Because each individual’s financial situation is unique, Heidi knows clients need customized planning and attention to meet their future needs.

In her free time, Heidi enjoys spending time with her husband, her son, and her two dogs.  She likes spending time outdoors, and is grateful for the sunny Texas weather.
